Love is a choice.

Imagine you had the perfect relationship. You found the love of your life and spent 7 glorious years with them. Suddenly, you wake up to find the universe has played a mean trick on you. You have somehow traveled back in time to the day when you first saw the love of your life, and now s/he doesnt recognize you.

For 7 years you never let a day go by without hugging them and making sure they know how much they mean to you, and now, even though they are right in front of you, you cant hug them.

but look how amazing they look. Just stunning. You stand and stare at them, and even though you have no idea what to do or say to them now, you find yourself smiling. That person has your heart ❤... and you will do anything for them, anything to be with them. You cant just tell them what happened. S/he will think youre nuts and you will blow it. So what do you do?

After a very long moment to process what has happened, you start with a simple "hi". And then you find patience and just keep loving them in everything you do.

Because love is a choice.
